Congressman David Schweikert
Our guest presenter, David Schweikert, US Congressman from Arizona, will provide a Washington perspective on several important housing issues that could affect you as an investor.
Congressman Schweikert was raised in Arizona and has deep ties to Arizona’s 6th District, which encompasses the northern Phoenix metropolitan area including the cities of Phoenix, Scottsdale, Fountain Hills and portions of Cave Creek and Carefree.
He has a history of investing in real estate through rental property, rehabs and foreclosures and is a past member of AZREIA. David is recognized as a fiscal conservative and detail-oriented “numbers guy,” with a background in statistics and actuarial studies.
Congressman Schweikert was an original co-sponsor of the JOBs Act and is a strong advocate for small business and proponent of measures to expand access to capital for emerging companies. He is a lifelong resident of Arizona with strong ties to the financial security of the state. As Maricopa County Treasurer, he earned more the $300 million for the county. David Schweikert is serving is fourth term in the United States Congress. He holds a seat on the Ways and Means Committee, having previously served on the Financial Services Committee. He also sits on the bicameral Joint Economic Committee, Co-Chairs the Valley Fever Task Force with House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, and is the Republican Co-Chair of the Blockchain Caucus, the Tunisia Caucus and the Caucus on Access to Capital and Credit.
