AZREIA has subgroups for a reason, a very good reason. As a real estate investor you need to network. You need to network with different people and groups for different reasons. When you need to network with others in our industry, AZREIA subgroups are a great place to go every month.
We have several that focus on very specific areas. Check them out below and contact the group leader for information about when and where they meet.
Phoenix Real Estate Club – Specific to the Greater Phoenix market this group meets to have detailed discussions about the current market conditions and trends. There are two structured networking activities that compliment the market discussion including “Haves & Wants” and “Power Networking”. The networking and market discussion is generally followed by a local guest speaker giving a presentation on a topic of interest to real estate investors. You should attend this meeting to understand the current investing trends, meet other investors, find potential deals and share your “Haves & Wants”. The meeting is facilitated by Alan Langston and is highly participatory. Attendance varies between 50 and 120. Attendance is free to Phoenix Real Estate Club members, $10 to AZREIA members and $20 ($15 pre-registered) to all others. The Club meets the 3rd Tuesday of every month. Details at www.azreia.org.
Beginning Investors – As its title suggest this subgroup is for investors just getting started. The subgroup meets to discuss basic topics to help new investors understand the fundamentals and hear from a guest speaker. Attendees are invited to share experiences and receive suggestion from the facilitator and other group members. Attendees are required to be AZREIA members, but may attend as a guest for one meeting if they aren’t. Please contact the group facilitator, Tim Walch at timw@walchcpa.com.
Fix & Flip – This is AZREIA’s longest running subgroup. Designed specifically for investors that Fix & Flip or rehab homes I cannot imagine a better meeting to attend every month if you participate in this part of our industry. Bob Gomez and Dave Jacobs facilitate the meeting and bring expert knowledge and experience to their leadership role. Every meeting includes a discussion about the state of the Fix & Flip segment of the market, helpful suggestion to attendees on closing problematic transactions, Haves & Wants” and a guest speaker. Attendees are required to be AZREIA members, but may attend as a guest for one meeting if they aren’t. Please contact the group facilitator, Bob Gomez at bob@ufixemproperties.com for meeting date, time and location.
Masters – As its name implies this group is reserved for experienced investors. Discussion of complex issues, creative solutions and market trends dominate the discussion. A high level of sharing is needed from all that participate. Attendees are required to be AZREIA members, but may attend as a guest for one meeting if they aren’t. Contact Laura Kostyo at lkostyo@cox.net for meeting date, time and location.
Buy & Hold – Renal property owners have unique problems and needs. This group helps members solve their problems of owning rental property and discusses topics like rent levels, reducing vacancies, rent boosters, tenant screening, finding qualified service personnel and much more. Guest speakers are sometimes invited. Attendees are required to be AZREIA members, but may attend as a guest for one meeting if they aren’t. Multi-Family – We expect this group to get started in late October or November. If you own apartments, stay tuned for information announcing this new subgroup.
As you can see, AZREIA offers you many opportunities to network in addition to the monthly AZREIA chapter meetings. It is up to you to take advantage of these opportunities and advance your real estate investing.
